The concert aided the scholarship fund for Bennett Conservatory of Music. Both musicians have connections with Jane Parkhouse, the Bennett’s dynamic leader. Krash is a longtime friend and colleague, and Steger, a Peekskill native, studied with Parkhouse and played her very first recital at the age of four in the same Unitarian Universalist venue as the benefit.
