Let's Talk

Dear Friends,
Last week's meeting was most interesting as we listened to our friend Roy Skodnick, learning about the great American poet and activist Langston Hughes, and others of the Harlem Renaissance, especially Zora Neale Hurston, and Alain Locke. A spirited debate followed.
Now Women's History month is upon us. The good news is that our own Kathy Walkup has agreed to talk to us at the next meeting about the iconoclastic modernist writer Gertrude Stein whose books are not widely read, although her saying, A rose is a rose is a rose, often misquoted, is widely known.
We will meet on Wednesday, March 18th at 7:30 pm, at Symphony Knoll.
See you then.
Love, Cornelia
